This 1971 Mercedes 280SL Pagoda has taken detailing to a whole new level—it’s our biggest project yet! Fresh from Bring a Trailer, we knew we had our work cut out for us. We dedicated 5 days to dry ice cleaning, over a day polishing the chrome, and at least 3 days on paint correction. We didn’t even touch the soft top!
The paint on this classic beauty was in rough shape and incredibly thin. So big was the challenge that we split it into two episodes! In this second video, we dive into paint correction, chrome polishing, rust repair, and an extensive restoration. We went all out, taking this classic Benz down to the frame and restoring it from the ground up!
