Detailing the 1971 Mercedes 280SL Pagoda has been our most extensive project to date. This classic Mercedes, sourced from Bring a Trailer, presented us with a formidable challenge. Our efforts encompassed five days of dry ice cleaning, over a day dedicated to chrome polishing, and a minimum of three days for paint correction. Remarkably, we haven’t even addressed the soft top yet!
The paint on this Mercedes Benz 280SL Pagoda was in a severely deteriorated condition and quite thin. The scope of this project was so substantial that we’ve split it into two episodes. In this initial video, we focus on the dry ice cleaning of the 280SL cabriolet. We meticulously cleaned the undercarriage, engine bay, wheel wells, and the interior, and restored the wheels and undercarriage to a factory-fresh look.
We’re also exploring new video formats while staying true to the content that initially attracted you to our channel. This one has a soothing ASMR quality to it.
