Ever wished you could give an old crusty steering wheel a new life? We did just that by using dry ice cleaning to blast away all the years of dirt and grime on this BMW E46 330IC. We were tasked with preparing the car to be put up for sale on Bring a Trailer, so we dry ice blasted the engine bay and exterior, gave it a round of paint correction, detailed the interior and conditioned the leather.
Due to budget concerns, we needed to use a more cost affective method to clean the undercarriage of the car to truly show off its condition, so we resorted to the classic steam cleaning tool.
This leaves the factory Cosmoline in great shape, while still allowing us to see the condition of the car under the grime. Not nearly as thorough as the dry ice cleaning, but it will do the trick in a pinch.
I love this era of BMW. And it’s a manual gearbox, none the less.
